The rather irritating !docinfo attribute names
webmastername, webmasterurl,
webmasteremail, and webmastermailurl
have been renamed:
old | new |
webmastername | domain_name |
webmasterurl | domain_link |
webmasteremail | contact_name |
webmastermailurl | contact_link |
A new command !label* has been introduced to
be able and reference e.g. chapter titles much better. Imagine you
have an English manual using the chapter Command Index
but in
other chapters you mention command index
, then UDO cannot
automatically reference to the chapter because it references
case-sensitively.
Using the new command, you can set a label, which will be
referenced by UDO like other labels, but will not be shown in the
index page. So in the example mentioned above, you would not see both
Command Index
and command index
in the index, but only
the automatically indexed chapter title Command Index
.
Example:
!begin_node Command Index !label* command index [...] !end_node # Command Index
The environment attribute !short
has been changed into
!compressed
because we believe this term describes much better
what this attribute really does: It changes the environment layout
from splendid
to compressed
. Therefore, we have renamed
several commands:
old | new |
short | !compressed |
use_short_descriptions | !use_compressed_descriptions |
use_short_enumerates | !use_compressed_enumerates |
use_short_envs | !use_compressed_envs |
use_short_itemizes | !use_compressed_itemizes |
use_short_lists | !use_compressed_lists |
New environment attribute !not_compressed:
This new environment attribute has been introduced, to be able and
switch off the inherit of compressed outer environments to the inner
environments.
To keeps things tidied up, we also renamed the switch use_short_tocs to !use_compressed_tocs.
Formatting of the titles of Description environment items in RTF and PS have been enhanced.

-@ F, you no longer need to enter exactly one option per text line in file F.
(!deg) | If a target format cannot output the placeholder as the degree
sign accordingly, it will no longer be replaced by the German word
Gradby default, but by the localized word, e.g. degreein English. |
